Americade 2003 Trip.
A sure sign of spring is when the annual Americade motorcycling vacation to Lake George N.Y. has arrived. You know it was a great week when I am still smiling on the ride back home...

We ventured into some eye candy at Ausable Chasm on one of the many rides we took while vacationing in the Adirondacks.

I have a soft place in my heart for images of Old Glory flapping in the breeze. This one at a roadside park on beautiful 9N outside of Lake George.

This same roadside park gave me the opportunity
to try out a new scoot and show-off my new summer weight mesh jacket I bought
at the expo for 99 bucks... Seems to be what the young fellas are wearing
now. It does an amazing job of flowing the air through while riding.
The armor seems to be well placed. It seemed to actually
help give some back support.

During our tour of the expo I ran across this
interesting BMW motorcycle...
I was in awe of all of the fantastic BMW touring machines I saw.

Jane is hoping she can get a cell call through in the middle of the White Mountain National Forest. Although we ran into no rain during the journey home, Jane wore her Frogg Toggs to keep the mountain riding chill off.

After adding some comfort accessories, the V-Star 650 is a perfect 2-up touring machine. I would have no reservations about taking a cross country trip with my wife on this fine machine. It handled the parade crawl speed, the secondary road meandering and the super slab cruising with surefooted finesse.
