Chain Lubrication and cleaning,-

Lubricate every 600 miles ( 1000 km) or sooner if chain appears dry. The O-rings in this chain can be damaged by steam cleaning, high pressure washers and certain solvents Clean the chain with kerosene. Wipe dry and lubricate only with SAE 80 or 90 gear oil. Commercial chain lubricants may contain solvents which could damage the rubber 0-rings.

Using the above has given me 17,600 miles from my chain so far. I use a brush to generously apply the gear oil. Hope this helps.
